I need help

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am a 54 year old male. I have had some recent setbacks (doctor bills) and tonight received a summons concerning an old credit card debt. With court costs, interest and principal the total is over $1400. I'm not sure what else to do but basically beg for some help. Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for you time.
